I picked up this magazine awhile ago....and as I read through it I couldn't help but think contrary to the title, it really makes me feel less, not MORE as the title implies.
It can seem like we are never enough....
smart enough,
svelte enough,
wise enough,
rich enough,
creative enough,
healthy enough,
blonde enough, (maybe:)
popular enough,
kind enough,
sweet enough,
the list could really go on and on...right?
I am so thankful that on my own I am never enough,
because it keeps me needing the One who is always enough.
May He be enough for you today.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.Matthew 11:29
He must become greater;I must become less.John 3:30
also a few pictures of a wondrous snow fall that I want to share...(my apologies to anyone tired of snow)
yes,it's almost spring...but this was last week.isn't it pretty?
and still thanking Him...
408-roll up the rim at Tim Hortons,409-good news stories like this, 410-a good week with daughter home,411-shopping and laughing together;("how about this she says as she holds up very gaudy sweater?:)412-all out on a Friday night together,413-that it was ONLY in the ditch that they(daughter and friends) went and not more serious,414-driving other daughter back and feeling seriously blue on the ride home,415-remembering it's because of love,416-church potlucks,...
It's a winter wonderland in those photos..so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYes Lucy, I had subscibed to that magazine for a trial, and only had it two months and decided I didn't want it.
Have a wonderful week my friend!!
All my heart,
Deborah xoxoxo
I never get tired of looking at the snow, as I don't see it that often where I live. The pictures are just beautiful to me. I love this story today, and you always put things in perspective for me. For that, I am so very grateful. Have a happy week, Lucy.
ReplyDelete~Sheri at Red Rose Alley
thank you Lucy. Thank you for always visiting me. I have not been blogging much anymore so though I do not visit or comment you are in my thoughts...I consider you a friend and you really are in my thoughts often as I'm walking along the creek listening to God. I am grateful for all the kind words you leave me. I have just needed to step back from blogging for a season of rest.
ReplyDeleteP.S I just don't buy those magazines anymore...they are always contrary to what God is saying to me...a gentle and quiet spirit are beauty to Him and that is what I desire.
Thank-you Deborah, Sheri and Kerrie.
DeleteYou are my friends too...:) xo.
