Of Laundry and Life Left Too Long

Writing an over due blog post can be a lot like laundry...

Ideas accumulate and gather like laundry that has piled up over days of neglect.

Sometimes I think I'll wait until I have enough thoughts and ideas to make a worth while post.

Suddenly like laundry piles on the floor, the ideas have run a muck and I can't seem to make heads or tails of them any more.

Leaving things doesn't seem to lessen the loads waiting to be addressed.
Only makes the ideas larger yet
 somehow more unattainable and daunting...

A little like a weeks worth of laundry..
Simply waiting patiently as life scuttles along...

Blog posts and laundry..one obviously necessary to the function of life here at home,
and one obscured slightly;by life fully functioning.

Happy Weekend, Thanks for visiting my wee blog...
See you next week, with a 'real blog post ' hopefully.:)

  1. Lots of "laundry" happening here this week too, Lucy!! I love this analogy you have provided, for I can relate to it. "Laundry" has taken a front seat to blogging recently, but that's how it has to be for now. Seasons of life...

Looking forward to your "real" post next week, but I enjoyed this UNreal post too! :)

  2. Such a great analogy! SO true.
And I'm a bit envious of your attractive, spacious, and well-functioning laundry room...

  3. Hi Lucy. I never thought of laundry in the same sense of a blog post but it's all true and kind of funny. I am always happy to see your posts, no matter what they are on. Hope it all came out in the wash! Susan

  4. I know what you mean, Lucy. Sometimes I run out of things to post about. Oh, I wish I had your big laundry room with that clothes line. :) And the last picture is such a beauty, so peaceful.

    Happy March!

    love, ~Sheri

  5. by the way, I'm not sure if Helen Miran won an award, and I haven't seen Woman Of Gold. Have you heard anything about "The Young Messiah" coming out?

  6. OT but... I love how you have room for drying lines, in your laundry room! Our laundry shares our downstairs powder room. Tiny. No room for lines.

Because there are always those items, which do not "go" into the dryer. -sigh-

  7. I really enjoyed your clever analogy--yes, I do relate to having ideas 'run a muck' for having been left too long...happens all the time.
    great little post.

  8. Just heard about your blog from Laura over at White Spray Paint. What a neat post and I can't wait to for a return visit. Happy Lord's Day!

thank you and blessings for words from your heart...
