An Intentional Reflection

Lately the word intentional has been going through my mind.
I read about intentional decorating and it resonated...
This is in fact exactly what I have been trying to do.....without realising I was being intentional...:)

a fave winter pass time....sunny window, tea, magazines....

It's funny when you stop and consider all the implications of being intentional.
Even the art of what I call 'studied carelessness'     ...is intentional.

Makes me want to live more intentionally as well....

Isn't that what we all crave?

Purpose....

belonging

 and usefulness....

oh to dream...

                                         smoke shadows drifting off

Mindful  and aware of how beautiful each little nuance of life is.....

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12
                                     HAPPY MIDWEEK....already.

  1. Beautiful, Lucy!
I struggle to stay intentional, but it's
a worthy fight. I have this magnet
that says, "Be grateful for this moment,
for this moment is your LIFE." That's
the fight.....to stay in the moment and
give thanks for it : )

Thank you for your wise and sweet
    words!

  2. I like that word "intentional" and I think it's the best way to live. In some areas, I live it...in others, not so much.

  3. It seems that in the spring time I also dream, Lucy. You have many inspirational magazines. I took one up to the counter the other day to buy (cottage magazine) and it was $10.00 so I didn't buy it. What happened to the $4.00 magazines? They let us dream and create and enjoy, so I think I'll go back and get one or two. :~)

It's always a pleasure visiting with you, Lucy, and seeing your splendid pictures.

    love, ~Sheri

    1. Hi Sheri, Oh I so agree...most of these magazines are rather vintage:) at least five or ten tears old...
They are so pricey now...that I consider blog reading my "magazine" now..

  5. That sunny window, tea, and magazines is a scene that puts a smile on my face, whatever the season. I lose myself in those dreamy gardens that border those storybook home facades. But, I must confess that I haven't purchased a decorating/gardening magazine in years, since, like you, the internet is filled with beautiful images INTENDED for our sore eyes.

    Happy browsing...

  6. Lovely photos to gaze upon. I pondered the possible relationship they have to each other -- each one gives me permission to stop a moment and dream a little.

I keep some of my magazines for years. Some never feel dated. Like my vintage Victoria or Romantic Homes or English Homes.

I enjoyed the visit, Lucy. Wishing you a beautiful day....
